Here is the registration procedure to participate in the International Ballet Competition of Canada.

1. Online registration for the Competition

  • In the Registration menu, select the mode of passage you want to sign up for. The categories of modes of passage INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES and GROUPS. Participants who wish to do so can register in several of these categories.
  • Select a discipline: CLASSICAL BALLET or CONTEMPORARY BALLET. You will need to present a variation belonging to the corresponding discipline. If in doubt, ask your teacher.
  • Select the sector that matches your level of ballet practice:
    • LEISURE: You do less than 8 hours of ballet practice per week on a regular basis
    • STUDIES: You do at least 8 hours of ballet practice per week on a regular basis
    • PROFESSIONNALS: You practice ballet professionally (professional paid or finishing in search of a paid contract in classical ballet or contemporary ballet)
  • Fill in all fields (first name, last name, date of birth, gender, city, country, as well as the names of the school and teacher if applicable).
  • For COUPLES, you must indicate the name of your dance partner. The latter must also register or have already registered.
  • For GROUPS, you must indicate the name of your group, which you will have determined in advance. Each dancer in a group must also register or have already registered. It is important that all members of the same group indicate the same group name.
  • Once the fields are completed, make sure all the information is entered correctly, and then click Add to cart.

2. Registration to a master class

Enrollment in a master class is obligatory for INDIVIDUAL candidates in the STUDIES sector and all PROFESSIONAL candidates (INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES and GROUPS),and optional but nevertheless highly recommended for all other candidates from the LEISURE and STUDIES sectors for all the interest of working with great ballet personalities. The ballet masters will also be members of the jury and will be able to help you greatly on the specifics to work on in order to increase your chances during your performance. They will also able to reclassify you as needed in the most appropriate category depending on your level.

  • In the Registration menu, select Master Classes.
  • Fill all the fields.
  • Once the fields are completed, make sure all the information is entered correctly, and then click Add to cart.

3. Paying the registration fee

All prices displayed are in Canadian dollars (CAD $). Prices are per person: each participant in COUPLES and GROUPS modes of passage must be registered and pay their registration fee.

It is possible to register and pay the registration fee for several candidates at the same time by first adding each of the registrations to the basket before completing your order. The details of each participant must be provided individually for each entry.

  • Once all your registrations have been added to the basket, click View cart (you can also access your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the cart icon located at the top right of the navigation menu).
  • Double-check the accuracy of the information for each item in the basket. If an item contains inaccurate information, it will have to be deleted and then re-added using the correct information.
  • Click Proceed to checkout.
  • Provide billing details: first name, last name, address and contact information for the responsible person (making the payment). Warning: the email address entered here will be used as the main contact for all entries in the shopping cart. This address should be consulted regularly to see important announcements submitted by the Competition.
  • Select a payment method, then click Place order to submit the order.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to transmit your payment according to the selected payment method.

Your registration will not be validated until the payment has been completed.

Payment methods accepted

The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Payment by credit card through the PayPal secure payment system (a PayPal account is not required).
  • Bank transfer or money transfer from a PayPal account (a PayPal account is required).
  • Interac money transfer through online banking services of a Canadian financial institution.
  • Mailing a cheque or a postal money order.
  • If none of these means of payment are right for you, you can pay the registration fee when you show up at the Competition. Please contact us to make anagreement.

4. Sending your music
